Some of the songs which seem inevitable in remembering 2007:
Hey There Delilah -- Plain White T's Chasing Cars -- Snow Patrol Thnks Fr Th Mmrs -- Fall Out Boy (let's all ignore "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race") Through The Glass -- Stone Sour What I've Done --- Linkin Park
and Apologies for including: Crank That --- Solja Boy Tell 'Em Grace Kelly -- Mika
Classics which returned to my playlist:
Mr. Blue Sky -- Electric Light Orchestra Amusement Park -- 50 Cent Brother Can You Spare a Dime -- Bing Crosby Take a Bow -- Madonna Mississippi Goddamn -- Nina Simone Goodbye Stranger --- Supertramp Pay to Cum -- Bad Brains
Still Listening To (from 2006): Waiting on the World to Change -- John Mayer Cheated Hearts -- Yeah Yeah Yeahs
All in all, though, I enjoyed hearing music that I would listen to only 1-3 times, and then forget, more than songs I would return to (like above) again and again. In other words, sorted by the number of times I listen to them, I get more total enjoyment from unmemorable songs and bands than iconic or heavily marketed ones.
